In his Upper Bavarian bakery and confectionery, Martin Klas has been producing tasty breads, delicious particles and creamy cakes of high artisan quality to take away or to eat in the adjoining café for decades. Since the original shop lighting no longer met the given requirements and had even failed in some cases, the master baker commissioned ledxon to create and implement a new lighting concept.
“I chose ledxon because their offer was the most transparent. Here I could immediately see the underlying concept and to what extent I could save energy costs by converting to LED”.
The aim of the new lighting was to set the bakery products in the limelight with state-of-the-art lighting technology and to create a cosy atmosphere in the adjoining café.
In the bread shelves, DLB strips with asymmetrical beam characteristics and the light colour Cheese & Pastry were used. This ensures that all relevant areas are uniformly illuminated. The high proportion of yellow in this light also makes baked goods appear particularly crispy and tasty.
The same colour effect is used with the new ledxon downlights, which are mounted above the goods display. The rest of the ceiling lighting is equipped with neutral white light. The lighting concept with two colours makes it possible on the one hand to emphasise the advantages and freshness of the goods and at the same time to immerse the adjoining café in a pleasant atmosphere.
“I am very satisfied with the result,” says Martin Klas. “From the placing of the order to the assembly everything went without a hitch.”
